This forum is flooded with nonsense posts from the Right attacking every single move the President makes. Is this supposed to be taken seriously after Republicans failed miserably during the Bush years? Are these attacks substantive when these people showed that they have incredibly poor judgment and instincts in reelecting the ineffective Bush? More importantly, are these baseless, meaningless atacks supposed to force people to ignore the glaring reality that we are still struggling with the stench of 8 horrific years of Bush-Republican control?

Quite farcical the narrative from the Right. Stepping up the negativity as an election year draws near only underlies the increasing level of desperation the GOP feels at not being able to unseat this popular President.

President Obama has been an incredible success thus far during his first term.

Maybe we just can't see Obama's change without the special glasses those on the left obviously have

If Obama is so popular and deemed such a great success then the few fringe republican detractors will have no impact.

However, here on earth, Obama is seen as a media creation of no substance who won a novelty election while being handed a Nobel Peace prize he did nothing to earn.

The direction Obama wants to take the country is most offensive. To argue details detracts from Obama's unstated covert goals as he runs a 'need to know' agenda according to a script he has been handed. For a man who measures and calculates his words by profession and being crowned a 'great orator' by the media, Obama is an absolute failure as a communicator or he carefully chooses to mislead as his goals, if stated, would be soundly rejected.

His position reversals, misleading statements, abysmal ability to predict the outcome of 'his handlers' economic and social policies and the people he has surrounded himself with are more than enough to earn Obama the most despised president in American history. Certainly an asterisk will be placed next to his name as a first but it won't be for what his minions think.

Obama needs to be compared to the expected roles and responsibilities of the office of president, not GWB or anyone else. In this regard BO's lack of qualification to be elected president is now being demonstrated.

Obama ran against George Bush in 2008 - he won and became the "I Won" guy. He had a great advantage in that race because George Bush was not on the ballot. He won't get to do that in 2012 - a lot of people are going to notice that George Bush is not on the ballot - Obama now has a record, he will have to run on it.

President Obama repeatedly described himself during the 2008 presidential race as a human Rorschach test.

Quote:
Axelrod also offers the reminder that Obama will be judged against his GOP opponent, and not the 2008 version of himself.

“Ultimately, we’re not going to be running against an idealized version of Barack Obama,” Axelrod said. “We’re going to be running against a flesh-and-blood opponent, a Republican opponent, who will present their own vision and bring their own record and their own ideas.
Complaints about Obama are coming from Right/Left/Middle

Quote:
Just look at the bruising White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer received at the Netroots Nation conference last week.

“Talking about a Rorschach test implies that voters are to blame — but the disappointment of many progressive and independent voters is due to President Obama’s own failure to fight for campaign promises he made,” said Adam Green, founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee and one of Obama’s most outspoken liberal critics.
At the end of the day ..... it will boil down to "are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?"

Failed Bush years? You mean the 52 consecutive months of economic growth and job creation until the Democrats took over the Congress and sent the economy into a recession ?

I don't why the RW should be upset, anymore than you should be satisfied.

Obama has continued many of Bush's policies...starting and expanding foreign wars, raids on medical marijuana dispensaries, extension of the Bush tax cuts, failure to close Gitmo..etc.

All these actions by President Obama are in direct contradiction to promises made by candidate Obama.

If you're happy with a liar...so be it. I'm not.
