You don't hang out much with old people who've smoked, do you. I do and I don't know a single one who doesn't have a smoking related disease---or died from one. Any heart or lung specialist will back up the fact that smoking is extremely harmful to the human body.
I have been smoking a pack and a half per day for the last 45 years. During my last pulmonary exam last year the doctor informed me that I had the lungs of a non-smoker at my age. When I informed the doctor that I had been smoking for 44 years he refused to believe me until I showed him my pack of cigarettes.
As I previously posted, everyone reacts differently to tobacco use.

So there is no need for the stupid government mandated warnings,as everyone already knows the risks.
Because they are no longer warning people about the risks involved with smoking. Now they are flat-out lying by claiming it is a certainty that smoking causes a fatal lung disease. Naturally, I expect nothing less from the morally bankrupt Democrats.

This has nothing to do with partisan politics, this is strictly a health issue. I am as conservative as they get and I support this. If you smoke, you are a moron, if these pictures remind you of your moronic behavior, oh well; smoke away.
Operative word is may. Most people eat in moderation and good food has a ton of nutritional benefits. Can one smoke in moderation and receive nutritional benefits from cigarettes?
Seriously? Because driving a car, using a knife and swimming in a pool are not inherently dangerous to your health. Smoking has zero benefits. If you choose to smoke in this day and age, you are a moron. Btw, I support your write to be a moron.

A lot of people react differently to pictures as opposed to words. So again.. How is warning people of health risk a bad thing? How are the warning labels a bad thing?
By that logic, how about pictures of various destroyed organs on processed food packaging, as a warning of the health effects of obesity?
ok and since people who drive without seatbelts make it to their destinations w/o flying through a windshield, we didn't need crash test dummies commercials in the 80s?

No, it does not cause lung cancer with absolute certainty, it substantially increases the risk of contracting certain cancers.

The current warning has nothing to do with health, and everything to do with Democrats once again attempting their social re-engineering. The warning is a flat-out lie to deliberately mislead people in order to achieve a desired behavior. Do not be so naive as to believe that this has anything to do with health.
