It is an absolute necessity to go bomb Libya, because if we don't Ghidaffi's military will slaughter everybody.

However, when charged on the War Powers Resolution, they say the conflict doesn't count because Libya's military isn't powerful enough to fight back.

Which one is it? Is his military powerful enough to slaughter all dissenters, or are they not powerful enough for this conflict to fall under the War Powers Resolution?

Sounds a bit hypocritical to me, but I'm sure most will just fluff it off.

I think Obama said he didn't need to invoke war because there weren't "hostile" to Libya... excuse me, dropping bombs is not a hostile maneuver? Does that mean I can drop bombs anywhere and kill people with it and say it's okay... its not "hostile"... sort of reminds me when Bill Clinton said "I did not have sexual relations" BS... even the liberals don't buy that line of BS... why is Obama so afraid of uttering the "war" word...

First off, its NOT necessary to bomb Libya, invade it, nor get involved with it in anyway. Who cares what the ruler is doing in HIS country. Its a civil war and should be handled internally. We aren't bombing Syria, China, and North Korea. ALL have a worse record of human rights violations and "killing their own people" then Libya does. Yet, we don't touch them.

The ONLY reason we are assisting NATO in Libya, is because France and the UK import their oil. Those countries need the oil Libya produces and this is a way to get it, much cheaper. The US will also benefit.
