The title of this thread is so misleading.

The Fed does not want to "regulate what food we can buy".

They just want the food we buy to be much more healthy, and the emphasis is on food that children eat.

As far as frying with it, I cant imagine why anyone would, veg oil is cheaper.
Actually Crisco reversed and reintroduced partially hydrogenated oils into their ingredients up to the point that they were still legally allowed to say it is trans fat free.

Slather it on the bottom of your sled during the winter. The trans fats make it FLY down the hill!

No, I don't, but then again, those of us who are able and willing to self-regulate and self-discipline, will be regulated right along with those who choose to continue to fail to "regulate" themselves.

Let's face it, if more people regulated their own eating habits, educated themselves about what's in the foods their eating, and the direct affect those ingredients are having on their health, the government would not have to step in. People would refuse to purchase the products and the manufacturers would either go out of business or start providing healthier options to the consumer. Good grief, it's not rocket science. LOL
You gotta love that fascist logic. ROFLMAO! The people are too stupid to make decisions for themselves, so the government must make decisions for the people. Yet it is those very same stupid people who decide who gets elected to office. These socialist fascists undermine their entire argument.

I guess you just are not smart enough to comprehend that lobbyists represent a specific segment of various industries. Judging from your prior posts, I am not surprised. The "food manufacturer's" lobby only exists in your vivid imagination.

People who either don't understand or don't care about how they are basically slow-acting poisons.

Is that supposed to make some kind of convoluted sense?
Judging from your prior posts, I can only assume so.
See how that works?
Wheres that link I asked for earlier, sparky?
All you ever seem to do here is sneer at anyone who doesnt lockstep agree with your posts, you never seem to have anything to back up your claims other than personal anecdotes.
Why is that, exactly?
Explain yourself.
Still having a nice giggle over your post that claimed you were "there" back in '66.
