Miguel Antonio Vargas, the Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for his coverage of the Virginia Tech massacre, has reveled that he is in the United States illegally. He was brought to the US as a child from the Philippines. At 16 he learned that his parents had brought him here illegally - he tried to get his drivers license and learned that his green card was fake. He's concealed this since in order to live in the country he grew up in.
So what should be done with him? Let him stay, or deport him to the Philippines?
What have we become as a country? How far have we fallen? People who are here in this country illegally, who have been leeches on our system and tax dollars are now brave enough to openly admit that they're illegal with no fear of being prosecuted or brought to justice. Illegal aliens have become more and more bold because they know in many ways they have more rights in this country than the average legal US citizen.
I'm curious to ask this of the "deport him now" crowd. Let's say today you found out your parents had lied to you. What if you found out they brought you illegally to the US when you were a small child. Would you head on down to the immigration office and ask to be deported to your country of birth? That, or would you do it yourself and save the US the cost of doing it?

Bring on the logical fallacies and loaded statements the refuge of a liberal
Tried and deported. No excuse at all. Ignorance of the law doesn't make you immune from it
There apparently was very little ignorance of the law, he went to the DMV at 16 and was told his documentation was fake. His relatives in the US also told him that he was there illegally. He wasn't ignorant of the law, he just ignored them.

At 16 years old he knew exactly what was going on.
