we've been headed this direction for decades, it has nothing to do with "Obama".

the OP is getting to be the boy who cried wolf, by posting lame threads with bogus titles. It isn't "Obama vs. ATM's." It is Obama stating the obvious.

Technology is SUPPOSED to kill jobs. The more we automate, the fewer people we will need for grunt work, and instead we'll "need" people to serve drinks, play music, and give massages as more disposable income is generated from less work.

You probably can't get away with saying all that as a politician, but I understand what Obama was getting at here: "jobs" as we know them are disappearing.

Yes, and we have a shortage of engineers. The US cannot supply enough for even it's own companies.

The issue really is that Obama is trying to blame somebody else for his problems.... but that's not new.
