People can say what they like and make suggestions, but there's no way there will ever be Sharia Law in the U.S.; women would never allow it. To consider someone's religious beliefs in a criminal case is not as rare as one might think, as some right wing terrorists have claimed their religions "told" them to bomb and murder. America's Muslim community is small; most didn't even know we had any Muslims here until after 9-11. My PCP is a third-generation Palestinian American, born and raised in Texas, a Republican, and most certainly considers himself an American. During the election I asked him why he was a Republican, and he said it was because their beliefs are closest to the tenets of Islam.
