I don't propose to speak for African Americans. I think the option for reparations should be available for those who feel they require it. If you don't, you don't have to accept it.
What Al Sharpton said is absolutely on point. Most people with a sense of history would agree with that statement. I don't know how on earth that would translate into a thread about reparations however unless you have some other hidden agenda.

Large numbers? How many is that? Three, Ten? How many "white supremacist leaders" are out there? Does anyone other than you even listen to them?

Have any of them been elected to Congress? Governorships? State legislatures? County Councils? City Councils? Anything???? THINK FAST! Time to back up the lie! Quick!

Laddy, the cartoons are waiting.

It is the same with Jesse Jackson or Louis Farakhan. We do not all agree with what they say. Most of us do not pay attention to them. Why are you paying attention to them, they are media whores?

That would be like me saying that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Chris Matthews, or Bill O'Reily represent all white people in this country. I know a lot of white people who despise either one or all of the above. Most do not care about what any of them has to say. Black people are the same.
Yes, that's why I say reparations should be an OPTION. Because there will be some African Americans who feel it's required to heal and some who don't. You will never get complete agreement on it. Saying that we shouldn't listen to any African Americans that say they believe in reparations is just as insensitive.

Agreed. They represent a fringe element in the white community so I choose not to dwell on them. But why do you guys constantly choose to highlight the fringe elements in the black community? I even saw a thread recently highlighting the fact that most of the car jackings on the hit show "bait car" are perpetrated by blacks. I mean what if I started a thread highlighting the fact that almost all the serial killers in American history have been white?

Nobody would care, that's what would happen. Truth doesn't hurt many intelligent people.

People do care. If someone started a thread about how many white serial killers there are, posters would reply with any and all negative statistics or stereotypes about black people. It wouldn't be ignored.

360,222 Union soldiers died during the civil war to put an end to slavery.

Isn't close to half a million human souls reparations enough?

OK so what you are trying to say is that white people who bring up the topic of reparations constantly and express their vehement opposition to it are simply trying to convey the fact that they are "sensitive" to the tiny number of black people who believe in reparations. Now how convenient.

If I was born yesterday, I probably would consider buying your distorted logic.
