There was slavery about seven generations back. Liberals and the Media can't get enough of the topic, and they are joined by skinheads and other nut groups calling for white supremacy. I don't think Canada ever had slavery. Most of the minorities there are immigrants.
Agreed. They represent a fringe element in the white community so I choose not to dwell on them. But why do you guys constantly choose to highlight the fringe elements in the black community? I even saw a thread recently highlighting the fact that most of the car jackings on the hit show "bait car" are perpetrated by blacks. I mean what if I started a thread highlighting the fact that almost all the serial killers in American history have been white?
Put a bait-car in a Black neighborhood and the car thieves turn out to be Black? Shocker.
They should put a bait-car on a road leading to a meth-blighted trailer park. Suddenly, car thieves are White!
As far as serial killers, there are probably a few in the Black community, but up until very recently, sadly, when Black people go missing, they just go missing. Investigations are cursory. No one is looking for the patterns of a serial killer. Law enforcement and the Justice system are the last vestige of a widespread pattern of racism in our country.
Oh yeah, maybe that would explain why all the southern states where the "Dixiecrats" live have consistently voted Republican since the civil rights movement. Do you think I was born yesterday?
Yet the Dixiecrats were the politicians that voted against the Civil Rights bill, and yet majority of them remained Democrat. As for southern states that started voting Republican, maybe just maybe it has to do with states rights and not racism, I know it is a concept you don't want to even begin to acknowledge because well, all you care about is wanting to believe everyone is racist.

It's seems like a common obsession of white racists is the idea they have in their heads that all black people in America wake up everyday dreaming of their "reparations check" arriving in the mail. Well sorry to clip your wings supremacists, it doesn't work that way. Most people in the black community have bigger fish to fry than waste their time fantasizing about something they know they will never get. We have jobs to attend to, families to take care of, households to maintain just like you do. Like everyone else, we are struggling to keep our footing in this tough economy.
The idea of reparations is a joke in the black community... I don't know anybody holding their breath for that. Heck if you go on the street and ask the average black youth if they believe that whites should pay reparations to blacks they'll have no idea what you are talking about. It seems to be an obsession of racist whites suffering from the guilt of slavery more than anything else. How can you say that blacks won't get over slavery when you constantly bring this non-issue up?

You might want to read up on Barry Goldwater. He did vote against the civil rights act because he was a states rights advocate, just like the founding fathers intended. He thought any retailer who discriminated due to race was dumb.
He integrated the Senate cafeteria. He integrated the store as soon as it was his. He was a member of the NAACP for years. He voted for other Civil Rights bills. He said one need not be straight to be in the military one just needed to be able to shoot straight.

The tax payer pays about $115 Billion a year in food stamps and section 8 housing.
Are you saying this is a joke and blacks actually won’t mind and won’t care if the switch is turned off on them for this welfare program?

If reparations are paid then any government programs designed to give preferential treatment or outcome need to end immediately. There would no longer be a need to provide affirmative action in the current sense (as opposed to the original sense under Kennedy and Johnson.)
SNAP and Section 8 are income-based so that “switch” wouldn’t get turned off.
