As far as I am concerned, the country that I would most likely have a great life would be the best country in the world for me. If my life ain't so great and it is in part because of the country that I am in, then by my definition it can't be that great of a country to begin with. You feel me?
Which by the way is a long way to say that this poll doesn't make much sense.
The best country in the world is one where you can be free to do anything you want as long as you are not trampling on someone else's rights.
Also, a country where I pay my bills and you pay yours but we are willing to help each other out when times are tough but not via some government mandate.
"Decently good" and "okay" don't sound that different.
I'd rather live in the best country with an okay life. I don't need many material things to be happy. And I want to live somewhere where a lot of people live okay lives or at least have the ability to live okay lives.
I'd rather be middle-class in the US or England or Canada than be a rich man in a very poor corrupt country (e.g. several Latin American or African nations).
There are some very rich people who live in Bolivia.
There are very poor people who live in the US.
So should not that be:
"Live in a great country and have a decent life
-or-
Live in a decent country and have a great life"
??
