I wonder if there's a correlation between computer operating systems and political leanings. For the purposes of this poll, I'll shake things down to "left-leaning", "right-leaning", and "libertarian-leaning".
I'm hypothesizing that left-leaning folks tend to Macs, right-leaning folks tend towards Microsoft Windows, and Libertarian types tend towards Linux. Let's see how things shake out.

I love Linux. Have you tried the Gnome 3 desktop environment (comes with Fedora)? It's really slick. Ubuntu is easy to get started on as well and comes with Unity.
DOS? I don't think that DOS has been developed since Windows 95 came out. I couldn't put every option on the poll because it would become ridiculous, but point taken.

Thanks for the advice......which one would work better with a CAD system?
I use it a lot in my work, it works fine with Windows, but I'm open to speeding things up, after all, time is money.

It depends on what CAD software that you use, but Windows certainly rules the roost. Many of the big-name CAD programs are available for Linux (as well as some smaller-name ones), but popular PLM software like TeamCenter is only available in Windows, from what I understand. The CAD folks who I work with all use Windows for this reason. IMHO, if you're not using PLM software, a lightweight desktop environment like Fluxbox is much better for memory/processor intensive things like 3D modelling and engineering analysis, since you have more computer resources freed up for the software (takes a bit of time to get it set up the way you like it though).
Libertarian-leaning, currently use a Mac and prefer the OS X UI, but I used to use Windows a lot and have no problem with it either. In fact I kinda miss the days of building custom PCs... just haven't had a reason to since no PC games have really excited me since Team Fortress 2.
