Planned Parenthood of Indiana expects to start offering services to Medicaid patients again Saturday after a federal judge ruled the state is not allowed to cut off the organization's public funding for general health services solely because it also provides abortions.

Woo-hoo!
Is there a real reason that the state has to go along with this decision before the Supreme Court rules on that one? I ask this because of the way the Secretary of the Interior and Obama have ignored the words of the District Court judge about oil drilling in the Gulf. I would think that if the Executive Department can just ignore those rulings the states should be able to do so. Afterall, there is the 10th amendment and the Sec. of Interior has nothing at all in his favor.

The ignorance of some of the posters on CD never ceases to amaze.

Planned Parenthood of Indiana has been without Medicaid funding since May 10, when Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels signed the law that cut off about $1.4 million and made Indiana the first state to deny the organization Medicaid funds for services such as breast exams and Pap tests.

Isn't that something? A federal judge can order a state not to hold back spending money on abortions but when a judge of the same level tells the President and his Secretaru of Interior that they can't continue to hold back drilling in the Gulf and other off shore areas they just ignore that judge. Of course, the Supreme Court will get to rule in both cases but Obama and buddies not paying attention to court rulings tells me too much about what the state may do since they have some Constitutional power to run but Obama and group have no Constitutional right to do what they are doing.

I was thinking the very same thing when reading your post in that they did what they did to stop the paying for abortions with public tax money. Why did you fail to include abortions with your listing?

I quoted the article in the OP verbatim.

How is paying for pap tests and breast exams the same as paying for abortions?

Anyway, I cut/pasted the front page to NPR; however, here is the link to the article, which, as I said, you could have found yourself.

Judge Halts Ind. Cuts To Planned Parenthood : NPR (http://www.npr.org/2011/06/25/137414216/judge-halts-ind-cuts-to-planned-parenthood-funds - broken link)
Why didn't you just post that in the first place? I'm not mocking anybody just said you may be having an off day with the links. If you want folks to read your links it would be a good idea to make them go to the article you want them to read. Just my opinion. Link away to off topic items all you want.

Well with Indiana supremes passing the ruling that cops can waltz into your home anytime they want without probably cause and now a judge says its fine stealing money to kill babies I think I'd be moving on if I were living in the Hoosier state. They have gone downhill faster than the IU basketball team after Knight left.
