From the article:

Peoria City Councilwoman Barbara Van Auken said Sunday she is outraged by Wilkinson's allegations.

Van Auken, who has known Wilkinson for six years, said he's had a history of "wildly exaggerating" reports, many of them involving race. And police are well aware of it.

"We have some very gullible new council members who were dumb enough to believe him," she said, declining to name names.

Van Auken said there are few, if any, racial tensions in the neighborhood where the incident occurred.

"It's a national embarrassment now," she said.

Its a vast left wing conspiracy!
Actually, the left wing media have common outlooks when it comes to Black racist acts and violence. We noticed you trying to play on Hillarys paranoid accusations, but sorry, I dont think its going to work.

Try again? The cat is out of the bag regarding the way the lefty media covers up black racism.

In the meantime, police have increased patrols in the area, and Ardis, who is out of town, expects more reports on the incident to be available when he returns Wednesday.
Kenny Rogers, who has lived on Sheridan for 10 years, called police Friday after he saw the group "hollering" and stopping traffic on the street. He did not hear anyone yell that they wanted to kill white people.
Rogers says the crowd was running wildly around yards and porches. It was the largest Rogers, 38, had ever seen in the neighborhood.
"They were doing a show of force," he said, "to show everybody, 'Hey, this is their hood.'"

Well it turned out that something did indeed happen Friday night although from the current updated news article it was not as extreme as the blogger reported.

60-70 people isn't too much of a mob to begin with really.

Of course running and shouting, going onto people's property,it could be frightening to the type who choose to live in an unfree state like Illinois.

Maybe this Peoria incident was:
#1: Totally fake
#2: Somewhat true, somewhat fake
#3: Totally real

I guess without video evidence, we won't ever know. The fact is, this has been happening all over the country: Downtown Denver, Kansas City (both in the past, and recently), Iowa State Fair, and at a fair in Ohio where a white family was attacked. We combine kids with no moral sense of direction, a horrible economy, a cradle to the grave welfare system that can't support the greed of most Americans, even poor ones....does this surprise anyone.

If you have a group of 50 younger and older teens, a certain % will be racist. A certain % will just be there "going with the flow." A certain % will be there just because it is the place to be and they will watch, but may not participate in any crime. The problem is that these mass of people incidents are going to keep happening. When mob mentality takes over, things usually get worse, not better. Look at what happened in Vancouver: A bunch of drunk people get upset and let their emotions get the best of them. It is easier to just act like a punk, thug, criminal when everyone else is doing it. This is in no way a pass to those who participate. Eventually someone is going to get killed due to these mob incidents. A recent one in Kansas City ended up with a home owner grabbing a very old bolt action rifle. It sounded like a scene from the movie Gran Torino.

Given that all media, left and right, have their own personal biases and political beliefs, without video, it is impossible to know what exactly happened in Peoria. It is very easy to make it sound like a large, unruly racist black mob due to what is happening in other areas of the country. There are all kinds of issues at play with these incidents. Just because it isn't stated in an official state agent (ie: Police) report doesn't mean it did or didn't happen. Remember, this is the same state where one city, Chicago, claimed they closed a beach due to "heat." Oh, they only closed one beach due to heat, they left other beaches open. Of course 911 calls prove there was more than just "heat" going on at that beach. Still, the CPD police brass maintain they only had to close one beach due to "heat." I guess it was 10 or 20 degrees colder just a few miles down the shore line?

So Kenny Rogers, a local resident also interviewed in this article, actually corroborated most of the original account. He confirmed a mob, stopping traffic, running into yards/porches, letting people know it was their hood. They only thing he didn't hear was the mob yelling kill all the white people. You have a quote from a council woman, who apparently was not there at the time, otherwise it would have said she was. She simply tries to discredit the original source. The police try to downplay this incident as well, but yet have an anti-riot van parked on the very street the next day.

A couple of things are clear. Some incident with a mob of young black males acting in a threatening manner occured in Peoria. Some people are more interested in burying the story than finding out what really happened.

Many of those people are here in this thread. It's a typical response.
