It appears there's been some wild exaggerations going on in this story....
According to one person, Peoria City Councilwoman Barbara Van Auken. Maybe she's right. Maybe not. Something did happen though, enough for the police to place a riot van in the neighborhood.
Something happened. The only thing in question is did some of the "teenagers" yell out, "kill the whites".
Was Peoria City Councilwoman Barbara Van Auken an eyewitness? No, so how is she a credible source? This is the standard official response for these types of incidents.
Switch the races and you can bet this politician would be in front of the news cameras right now saying "we will not tolerate racism in Peoria" etc. etc.
What is so unbelievable about this story anyway?

There were teenagers? Without cell phone cameras? No youtube videos? It doesn't add up....
How do you know there are no videos Meson? Are there Youtube videos of the this weekend's attack in Philly? If not, does that mean it didn't happen? Wake up, this is a very real trend in cities throughout the US.
Some (bigoted) people think that 3 Black men who are simply buying paper towels and fruit roll-ups at Target is a "threatening" Black mob so the source is an important factor.
What I find quite interesting is that some people are refusing to accept the truth about this incident either not occurring or being greatly exaggerated. Why are these people so desperate to have a mob of Black people chanting "Kill the White people"? People make false racial allegations and when they are exposed as such we should breathe a sigh of relief and move on. This case is just like the Duke lacrosse case but its interesting that some White people desperately want the mob incident to be true.
Bingo. These conservatives, most of them commenting on this thread anyway, desperately want this story to be true. The fact that Drudge would take a bloggers account and go national with it proves how hard they will try to mske something out of nothing. This area had always been a place where people gather because a liquor store is on that corner. Now someone injected race into the argument and it becomes a story. Drudge is no different than Breitbart, throwing red meat to the rednecks.
Hey guys I get that "white is the superior race" thing, I just don't buy into it...
So you think all these reports of flash mobs in cities across the US are all made up ?
