It doesn't matter. Humans haven't made much progress on the earth. Space exploration is a waste of money. We aren't evolved enough to keep from messing up another planet.
My second cousin is married to the head engineer of the Apollo 8 Moon landing. To think it was a hoax is just silly.
GloryB - You probably mean 11. Apollo 8 was the first mission that circled the moon. Lovell, Borman and Anders. 1968. Borman read from the Bible on Christmas Eve.
My father worked on the space program for over 25 years. Including a stint with Werner von Braun. To think it was a hoax is, IMHO, disrespectful to a ton of men and women who dedicated their lives to our success. Including the crew of Apollo 1 who died during training.
But you can't talk sense to someone who doesn't want to hear it.
The moon landing must have been faked; in the real world it couldn't have happened, because there would have been at least half a decade of wrangling to make sure that every ethnic group and sexual orientation in the country was represented on the flight. That would have meant a much larger rocket ship, and there was no way such a ship could have been constructed in 1969.

I strongly disagree.
Google inventions & medicine that has come about because of the space program.
Things you take for granted each & every day, your creature comforts was made possible because of NASA research in space.
...and the thousands of pre-moon-landing technical publications like this one [written by a vice-president of North American Rockwell, Space Division] must be "hoaxes" too, we are to suppose?
Why oh why did you have to revive this mercifully dormant thread?
