Simple solution. You want the check? Put a norplant in your arm. Case closed. And by the way, God just called, and he said to stop spitting out kids you can't afford

Her god and savior are the welfare system. It is my understanding that whether married or not, if you fall under certain income and are PREGNANT, you can get on the dole for 9 months. So women like this make it their life occupation to be baby makers--well until the biological clock ticks out.... No god to it, except in a welfare recipient's mind. This type of poverty mentality lives only for the day, not able to see into a future, and that when the babies stop, they have about 25 years until they can get onto medicare. BIG dilemma, so what to do? Then the medical problems start, "oh my aching back, I can't work". Ahhhhhh, "I can get onto disability now!". So the cradle to grave mentality hard at work in millions of people's lives here in the US of A. And the suckers (i.e. taxpayers) paying for it all. Add to that all the illegals pouring in--anyone see the dire picture here?

To me that woman has some kind of psychological disorder ! But seriously though if she is unable to look after her kids financially she really should not be having so many. I don't mind one kid maybe ( though what kind of parents would chose to raise a child on welfare is beyond me ?) but anything over that is just taking advantage of the system ( and by the way I have been labelled a screaming socialist/liberal).
However sadly as a screaming bleeding-heart liberal once she has the kids I do not think we can punish them for having a feckless and irresponsible mother so we can hardly let them starve and sadly I still think it is our duty to those innocent kids to look after them.

Where is the father in all this, shouldn't he be paying towards his children's upbringing ? It's easy to solely blame the woman but it takes two to make a baby and he too should be as responsible towards costs as she is. Difficult issue as I am not quite sure what the best way to deal with this is once there are children involved. They're not responsible for a mother with "reproductive diarrhoea" and should not be blamed and be punished for her stupidity. I am amazed that some people consider having a child a right. It's a privilege but a right absolutely not. I wish there were parenting lessons, and one had to get a "parenting" license, one easy way to solve over-population, child abuse and many more social ills. Sadly this is not really an option in a democratic society and who would judge anyway !?
I think she needs someone to have a serious talk to her and a reality-check.

As soon as I read the title of this thread, I thought of the movie Idiocracy. It looks like we're not far behind those predictions.

I have 8 kids. The oldest is 25 years old and the youngest is 10 months. never got help from no one. At one point I had 5 kids making $5.50 hr. No food stamps, no unemployment, no wick program, nothing. Not even goverment cheese.
However this did nothing for my oldest boy because he lives on , welfare, WIC., and unemployemnt checks.I dont know where he learned this from.

This quote is a famous talking point of "pro-lifers." This is what happens when "pro-lifers" like to encourage baby-making. The contraception wouldn't be an option since it would be illegal if they take over. Circular reasoning?

If she is on welfare there should be no additional funds for any additional children she has once they processed her application for assistance. That should discourage choosing to have more children.

That was the comment from a coworker who is pregnant again. She went on to tell me that her role in society was to be a Mother. She had her first baby at age 16 and has 4 already at age 23. She hopes to have a baby every year until her late 40s. She loves being pregnant and having babies!

Should a person like this be encouraged or should she be stopped? She is collecting welfare benefits and has her kids in day care. (Though she is working full time) What type of right does a women have regarding multiple babies at the tax payers expense?
First of all she needs to realize it's not God impregnating her.
Second, if she can support them without goverment help, fine have babies.
If she needs extra help from the goverment she is not only taking from the taxpayers but, she is not giving her children all that they need .

I knew a Hispanic security guard back in Sacramento. She wasn't married and had similar views. She wanted a huge family, and felt it was the governments obligation to provide for her because she couldn't afford to pay for raising them all herself. She was only 21 and already had four kids and showed no signs of slowing down.
