I want to tell those people I read making light of men remembering dates that I have never had any trouble with things like that in my immediate family.
I can still rattle off the birthdays of my mother and father, my brother and both my sisters, my ex-wife of from 41 years ago, my wife, both sons, and even some friends. I know both my marriage dates, the dates my brother and parents died and many other such things. I pride myself on never having forgot at least a card for my wife on our anniversary although both of them forgot more than once.
Don't ask about dates for nieces and nephews or other family members though, please.

Nope. This is why you shouldn't get your news from chain e-mails. There was a picture of him using a teleprompter while talking to the press, and there was a picture of him talking to kids. The chain e-mail you and the rest of your right wing friends read show both of them, and claimed the one in which he was talking to the (off-screen) press was actually the same room and time in which he was talking to the school kids.
People jump on Palin, Bush, and Bachmann because they say stupid things, time and time again. Not simple slip ups, either. Don't pretend Bush invented a word wrong one time and the press never forgave him for it, and stop with this bull**** lie about Palin and "gotcha questions". You're desperation is showing...

Not a big deal, in my opinion. My father sometimes had to be reminded of how old my brother and I were when we were kids, and he wasn't losing his mind. And my mother sometimes called me by my brother's name - she wasn't losing her mind either.
