The first thing Geither will cut (we can only pray) will be Congressional salaries.

Followed by the Congressional health-care plan.

Let's see McConnell try to get approved for private health insurance. That would be amusing to watch.

Members of Congress vote their own salaries and health care plan. Timothy Geithner has nothing to do with that.

I think the esteemed members of Congress should be donating their salaries to the national debt. They did create it afterall.

It's amazing we're talking about a debt "ceiling" limit in 2011.

It seriously gives us no room to go higher.

That's depressing.

Geithner writes the checks. I'd say that's "something to do with" it.

Exactly. The whole debt ceiling thing is ridiculous.

The debt ceiling "debate" is merely a means for the rich to extort more money from the needy into their pockets through the Bush Tax cuts and other loopholes.

None of them gives a f#&k about the actual debt.

The Constitution makes him; he has no choice.

When it comes to default, he has a choice who gets paid and who doesn't.

Time for him to send congress home (unpaid) stand in the corner and think about what they've done.

Only if Congress tells him to. Otherwise they get a paycheck if default occurs.

WE should just start paying Congress with Geithner's funny money... with a pic of Queen Liz on the cover.
