I just thought of this reading about the thread about the gay radical prank pulled on the SBC. A few posters mentioned that E-harmony was sued because they didn't have a section for gay couples and were discriminating. Okay, fine, but then doesn't that mean that gay.com has to have a section for straight love connections? Would they not be in violation of the exact same discrimination that e-harmony was?
I have never been to the website. Is it for straight men looking for a "down low" hook up, or is it for straight men looking to meet straight women? In other words, is there a men looking for women section, or women seeking men? Thanks for the info.

It's just called "Straight Men". It's an open chat room. You can use it however you wish. There are no instructions.

But I'm asking you, and hoping for an honest answer. is it for "straight men" looking for a gay experience, or is it for straight men looking for straight women? Is there a straight women forum? I'm being serious, because if e-harmony was successfully sued for not having a gay hookup section, then shouldn't gay.com be sued for not having a straight hookup section?
For the record, I think that gay.com and e-harmony should be allowed to cater to whomever they want to, but if one company was sued, then the other one should be as well. I just hate double standards.

The difference is that eharmony was specifically saying that heteros were welcome to use their service, and homos were not. Gay.com doesn't make any distinctions like that. Anyone can use their service and create a profile or use one of their chat rooms.
From what I remember, there are women's chat rooms, but they didn't specify between straight or gay. They just said "Women's Forum" or something like that.
If you want to bring a lawsuit against gay.com, go for it. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

I don't think so.
Gay.com is a niche market. It's clearly not a place for heterosexuals.
If you have a site called heterodating.com gays probably won't go there looking for dates... but then again, they might.
