I don't doubt that you drive by the projects. I've driven by projects a thousand times, and i'm a car nut. Can't say that i've EVER seen a car that i desire in a project parking lot. A 1980 Chevy Caprice (or whatever) sitting on 24 inch rims is worth about $5 bucks....and you're more likely to see that than a new Cadillac CTS. Any car approaching newness in the projects isn't generally anything more expensive than a Toyota Corolla or Honda Accord....and even that's a stretch.

Bottom line, no one in the projects can afford any new car that i'd deem to be "expensive." If you see an expensive new car, it likely belongs to some drug dealing young thug, and that doesn't come out of your tax money anyway.
