Deal with it? Like you libs deal with Conservatives. All you seem to do is to Whine, Whine, Whine. Abortion is just another way to NOT take responsibility for your actions.

In an interesting parrallel I was just reading Lewis and Clarks journal. A squaw had run off from her husband and gone to their winter fort. A few days later her husband came and took her back, it is noted that he could legally kill her for running off. A couple days later she shows up all beat to crap and stabbed a bit too. The guy shows up and saying he is sick of her sells her off to one of the trappers. (He was also there to collect payment from one of the sergeants he'd rented her out too for comfort.)

All perfectly legal.
Well, isn't that crap. Why can't laws be applied to everyone the same? THAT is my point. By the way, I read the L&C journals years ago. Lewis is buried not far from here, in a TN county named for him, where he died in 1809.

It's a perfectly responsible way of dealing with one's actions. A problem arises, the mother makes a decision, and takes action to handle it.

What would be irresponsible would be to have a child and not take care of it or take steps to see that others could take care of it.

As to murder charges in the death of a fetus, fetal homicide laws vary from state to state. I don't think the intentional death of another person who's born already varies much, does it? Pretty much homicide wherever you go. So if as you argue all fetuses that get killed are murdered, then why don't all states have equivalent laws for the issue?

Fetal Homicide State Laws

And why did you change the topic to whining? Pick any topic in the world, and you can come up with an accusation that your opponent is whining. Boring.

Because in some cases the baby growing in her belly could live on its own if it were excised from her body before the mother dies.

The fetus has the potential to become a human baby.

When the Mother dies the baby dies, the mother's life is what keeps the baby alive and growing before birth.

Two lives not only one.

The fetus is NOT a baby, but has the potential to become a human baby.

This is why abortions are not permitted beyond a certain number of weeks, when the fetus is viable and can live outside of the mother's body.

It is an obvious legal contradiction that no one will answer because it forces us to say that it is a woman's choice to decide if a child lives or dies and that the child's life is less important than the right of that woman to make this decision.

eh wrong. There are third trimester abortions. And they attempt to kill the baby before its born. If for whatever reason the baby is still born alive they do not save said child.

No state in the USA permits a 3rd trimester abortion at will.

Only if the health of the mother is in danger.

Exactly.

Quote:
I contend it should be illegal for either of us to kill it.
Except that if the unborn child is physically attached to my body, I should be able to detach him/her should I desire/need to. As of right now, removing an unborn child from the woman's body results in death.

If the baby is alive before and after it is born, why are mother's procecuted for killing the baby after birth but not before. Are they MORE alive after birth?
Unborn = attached to mother
Born = Not attached

Has nothing to do with being "more alive". It has everything to do with the child being inseparable from the woman's body. When the child is attached to the woman's insides, she has the ability to make the decision of "No. I don't want this". When the child is born, the child no longer requires the woman's body to feed off of. He or she can then be taken care of by just about anyone.

wrong

ok so why cant the baby be born alive and given all the medical treatment for it to survive? Why do they kill the child first then deliver it?

You wanna know why because they are doing it because the child has some type of "defect" and the parents decide they dont want it. Only a small percent of thrid trimester abortions are done to save the mothers life.
