Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former Saudi intelligence chief and ambassador to Washington, warned senior Nato military officials that the existence of such a device "would compel Saudi Arabia … to pursue policies which could lead to untold and possibly dramatic consequences".

"We cannot live in a situation where Iran has nuclear weapons and we don't. It's as simple as that," the official said. "If Iran develops a nuclear weapon, that will be unacceptable to us and we will have to follow suit."

I wonder what the USA and Israel had to do in order to get their lackey dictators in Saudi Arabia pretend to want these weapons in response to Iran's make believe weapon program.

You are all being conned. Saudi Arabia puts this out in order for Israel and the USA propagandize it, for an excuse to start yet another war.

Iran should get nuclear weapons. Israel has them. And Israel is threatening to attack them all the time.

I think it's interesting that Saudi Arabia feels threatened by the prospect of a nuclear Iran while their "mortal enemies" in Israel have had them for decades without complaint. I guess the Saudis know who the real danger is.
