For example, if I have a conventional fixed rate mortgage, will my payments be affected? I don't care if the value of the property tanks, I just don't want my monthly payments to be affected.

Also, what about credit cards? Will I have rate hikes for those?

Will the dollar be devalued and everyday items like milk and bread be affected?
It might be too late. Since 2007 the democrats have created a massive mound of debt that will be hard to get out of. Since obama has been in office, he has added another 4 trillion.

You may have to learn to speak Chinese but there should be plenty of time to do it because you won't be able to afford to actually go anywhere.

The government run supermarket may not choose to sell milk and bread, so don't worry about that. It will depend on whether the libs think those things are good for you...and you know, if there's actually room in your weenie skyrocketing electric rates car for a bag of groceries.

Don't worry about the price of milk- if you are a member of the capitalist bourgeoisie, we're going to drag you out of your mansion naked into the street and hang you from a lampost!

That I can agree with. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't like Democrats!

Um, you will not default on your debt. That is a gross misunderstanding.

If the debt ceiling for the National Debt is not raised, then you will not be able to sell the 2011 Budget Deficit as treasury securities to obtain cash, and within 90 days you'll be in a recession, but that won't result in an immediate default on your National Debt.

Don't you mean the stupidity of the right, since it is well known that they want the economy to collaspe because they believe it will mean Obama will not get elected. It is the repubs who will not compromise and who seemed dertermined to destroy our economy.

I think we can safely state that both parties ruined the job market and livelihood of Americans; after all, both parties have been in all agencies of state and federal government for centuries.

Lets take this point.

Democrats already have 1.5 trillion in cuts on the table as compromise. What do republicans have on the table as compromise?

We're all just trying to p/up the pieces now.
0bama, Reid, Hoyer and Pelosi are not conservatives, and neither was Bush, you need to get your facts straight, and not become a simple minded, partisan hack.
