So, can you answer 'WHY didn't O fix it instead of CONTINUING it?'
C'mon, inquiring minds want to know.

When George W. Bush took office
the debt limit was 5.95 trillion. The national debt was 5.73 when bush first took office. When he left office our national debt was 10.63 trillion. So, how did the national debt double under eight years of bush's reign?
Let's add the rest of the quote of mine to which you referred.
Obama has been working on it. When he took office he inheirted the worst mess this country has ever been in. The damage Bush did will not be repaired overnight, or in four years. He did try to work bi-partisan, but he quickly learned the republicans were only going to obstruct and block anything he tried. I also believe when Obama first took office he didn't realize the extent of the damage Bush and company inflicted on this country.
Now what I think is we will have to cut expenses, but not just to the poor and middle class, but to other areas as well. Additionally, we will have to raise revenue if we are to recover.
Politicians, whether they are republican or democrat are too busy grand standing, and blocking what the other side suggests.
Both sides know that it is going to get raised.....probably 2.3 Trillion just to get us to the end of 2012. No two ways about it..........the national debt will be 20-22 Trillion by the end of 2016.
No it won't, not if no one is buying the debt.

That's what happens when government starts believing its own propaganda, disinformation and lies.
Seriously, this look like deja vu ala the Soviet Union circa 1970.

O didn't inherit anything. He was part of the cause of it. And we all know it. Some will not admit that. To set O away from this is wrong.
In 2006 - Obama was the "I wanta be Prez" dude.
In 2011 - Obama is the "I WON" dude.
All of 2009, 2010, (so far in 2011) Obama is the "Campaigner in Chief".
It is what it is.
...and the beat goes on.
