When Jon Stewart was on Fox News Sunday, he said 'I am a comedian'. Really? Maybe he should fire his staff of 15 writers because there's no proof that he's a 'comedian'.
I'm going to guess that watching Stewart on Fox was this poster's first real exposure and, of course, Jon wasn't in comedian mode on that show.
I just wish these people would actually watch his show before judging. Seems so common sense to inform oneself before drawing a conclusion.
Wasn't it the Stewart show that Beck was comparing writing staff to? Stewart had like 10, and Beck only had 2. Something like that. roysboys would know.
Yeah - it was 15 to 2. You can see the difference in quality and executiion, too. Stewart's show is really funny and well prepared, whereas Beck's was more just stream-of-conscious and lasted 2 years as compared to Stewart who's been on the same show since, I believe, 1999.

Yep that is just what Beck said unless he accused Stewart of more than 10. At any rate he had his two writers on with him Thursday.

Somebody watched Beck's last show... Unfortunately, the guffaws of laughter on a nightly basis refute your conclusion, but you did a nice job of picking up the talking points.

I just checked the thread and find that knowledgeiskey posted the thread opener and hasn't been back in over 10 hours. I have been noticing this happen for some time and think I have to say that someone who does that trick is nothing more or less than an honest to God troll.
I certainly hope she/he comes along this evening and makes me out to be wrong. I won't hold my breath, though.

You can't really compare beck and stewart. Beck is supposed to be a serious commentary, which is actually funny. Stewart is supposed to be funny, which it is.
Highbrow humor does not work with mouth breathers.
