Why must politics be a part of everything in life! Or is that the only thread you have going on in your brain?

Seriously, there is a political thread in this forum....use it and leave the rest of us to enjoy a world free from politics for some adult conversation! there are many bright knowledgeable people on this forum and I'm interested in their thoughts on the thread listed. Why, oh why do we need to hear from the Obama bashers!

Our high school teachers and all the evolutianry stuff we learned in school (not doing advanced studies of this of course) always said we "evolved" from apes. I've wondered if that has been proved or disproved up to this time, if that would also apply to Neaderthals/Cro Magnons and humans such as ourselves, and because there are many learned people that seem to know about this...it seemed the obvious place to ask? Okay!

Okay...I'm not 100% sure, but I think that a lot of apes hit themselves in the head all the time, too.

You should have paid more attention in class. The "evolutionary stuff" is that humans and apes evolved from common ancestors, not that humans evolved from apes. If the latter were true, there wouldn't still be apes...right? Are you with me?

I agree with you.

But it gives me comfort to know they are behind a keyboard presumably at

home and not out in public Spewing their hatred.

I am "with" you......on that..... But then that leads to whom that "common" ancestor was. I was hoping those people on this thread (without an attitude problem) might want to give me a bit of a crash course....I've found their posts so interesting and informative You apparantly haven't much information at your disposal, but thanks anyway.

I think his name might have been Bob. But you are right, there are many interesting and informative people without attitude problems posting here.

Good to find people that don't have attitude problems or find the need to put down those that were not able to obtain college educations (for myriad reasons). I find these threads fairly informative for finding information that is interesting and provocative. I will finish reading the article at length, but from scanning it seems like that "missing link" I was speaking about originally when our Mighty Queen decided I wasn't worth the time of day....is still in fact "missing"....but apparantly his name was Bob!

I also am counting on the Air Force to save me as always. I'm a military brat of a three war vetern Air Force colonel. School, to school to school, always in the mid-terms.....really wasn't helpful to my education!
