This has developed into a full blown political scandal in the UK due to 1) News Corp's (NI in the UK) links with David Cameron and other prominent politicians 2) hacking into well known people, prominent politicians and the Royal Family and 3) making payments to and corrupting the police.
It is now a very public scandal and very embarrassing to the government and to the other parties.
The big risk for Murdoch is not the loss of print media but his attempt to acquire all of BSkyB. Right now, that looks like it might not happen.
The other risk is his son James going to jail.
On the plus side, Murdoch probably has a lot of dirt on politicians and others which might deter them from being too hard on him.
We shall see if it is a bump in the road. It may very will be a giant sink hole.
The liberals who are clamoring for the demise of Murdoch seem to be ignorant of the fact that people like Murdoch are simply giving people want they want.

Keep pi--ing into the wind hotair2.
