My question probably belongs on the Religion forum, but how can you logically "prove" that God exists?
Doesn't the idea of empircal evidence supporting the existance of "God" run counter to common religious tenants regarding faith?
Everything has to have been caused, so there must be a Supreme causer, so there must a God creator - the God of the Christian Bible. It's simple, irrefutable logic.
I know how to think logically. I know the principles of logic. I know that there is such a thing as a logical absolute, and I can point out a number of logical fallacies when I see them. I have repeatedly proven to atheists on this board using logic that God exists.
I've also come to the conclusion that you and many others here are not willing to think logically if your presuppositions don't match what logic proves to us.
No dear, you have not proven anything to anyone, except perhaps your penchant to impose your own particular brand of morality on everyone else.
No thanks, I'll take my own set of morals over yours.

Umm...yah, I have. Using logic, I can give you a list of points that will prove that there is a Creator. I have done that. If you continue to act illogically and deny that, then fine.
Having said that, I no more impose my "brand of morality" than you impose your "brand of morality" on me. We all have the right to opinion, and votes, in this country. It's a shame that you and your kind don't give us the tolerance that you guys whine about.

No, you havent proved anything, as I said earlier.
And yes, you are trying to impose your morality on others, I can think of a recent post of yours in another thread where you most certainly are.
Bachmann, porn and your kid ring a bell?
Oh, and I'm not whining about anything, you need to get a broader brush, sparky.

Do you understand what a "logical proof" is?

And you suggesting I can't protect my kid is imposing your morality on me. It goes both ways.

No you haven't. Many of the most brilliant theologians and scholars throughout human history have tried to use logic to prove God. They've never succeeded. While I too believe God exists, stop pretending like you can prove it. Even the Bible doesn't support the notion of trying to prove he exists, because then faith is not necessary.
And you suggesting I can't protect my kid is imposing your morality on me. It goes both ways.
You're whining about me and my morality.
-sigh-
You know, I really think you would argue with a brick wall, given the opportunity.
Yes, I understand what logical proof is, I am saying that you have failed tp convince me of anything, ergo, failure of your logic.
I never suggested you could not protect your child, but you suggesting the state should do your job for you is not logical at all, again, you fail.
No, I am not whining about your morality, I am merely pointing out the fallacy of yours.
You seem to love to dish out criticism of others, you really should learn to take it a bit more gracefully yourself.
Thats one true sign of an intelligent person.

As I said, you are unwilling to look at a logical proof and accept it. That does not mean I haven't proven God exists.

I'm suggesting the state should at least help me protect my child instead of making it more difficult. In the same way we all agree that the state should provide for some meaningful sense of security for all of us.

I can take it just fine. I have taken it just fine. The fact that you are now telling me I shouldn't impose my morality on you is intolerant. You are trying to tell me that your values are better than mine.

Now you're just hijacking the thread and trying to have the last word here, which you are known for on this forum.
If you wish to debate this anymore, feel free to PM me, as I am not going to indulge in your thread hijack.
