If we want to grow jobs and cut the unemployment rate we need to stop spending. Cutting entitlements, government services, and government payrolls will cause the private sector to go on a massive hiring wave. I think 4 trillion would be good, what do you guys think?

OP - What universe are you living in?

We need more government employment and much more progressive taxation to pay for the jobs and cut the deficit.

US corporations according to the Wall Street Journal is sitting on over $2,000,000,000,000 cash- that is trillion dollars. They simply won't spend it or hire. It has nothing to do with the govt.

You can cut all the government spending in the world, and raise taxes to 100% from the poorest to the richest, and it still won't pay off the real debt held by the banks which is $1.5 quadrillion
