Lightbulb Can Obama wiggle out of this one?

If Bush and Cheney were able to wiggle out of their Iraq fiasco, Obama can sit back in his rocker and laugh at the Libya-phobes.

That's ridiculous!
Not saying Iraq was all that but it wasn't an Executive decision as Libya was and there isn't any denying that.

Congress was involved in us going to Iraq, you're just denying history with that statement.

They will bring it back up again the NEXT time a president does exactly the same thing... Obama made a HUGE error in thinking that his decision will only affect the present... sometimes people are too proud to admit mistakes and sometimes they are too short-sighted to see the faulty of their decisions with long-term consequences... unfortunately, both applies in Obama's decision and he knows it but is unwilling to do anything about it....

You're half right.

One of us is in DEEP denial in trying to pin something that won't stick.

<hint> Iraq will be remembered as America's biggest mistake long after everyone has forgotten all about the nonissue with Libya. And it was absolutely Bush's (and/or Cheney's) executive decision. Don't take my word for it. Read the congressional Iraq resolution for yourself.

Seeing how the Congress, which includes the house and senate, refuses to strip money fromm the operation in Lybia, then I woulld have to say that any threads on here concerning Obama's ignoring congress about it is like beating adead horse. get over it repubs, you have lost the fight.

Obama won't even need to wiggle to avoid any repercussions.

There are no actions or abuses he has committed or could commit that would not be justified and defended by his supporters. They (the supporters) could care less about right/wrong, legal/illegal. They only care that their guy is in the White House. They will say, do, and support anything to keep him there.

When their efforts finally blow up in their face they will refuse to accept any blame or responsibility for their actions and find a way to blame the other side for whatever happens.

Sadly, diehard Republicans are no better. Until such time as voters replace partisanship with principle we will continue to have a government that is essentially unanswerable to it's citizens.
