Hey genius,

Do you always get your opinions from biased, right leaning, one sided editorials? Perhaps you could spend a little more time googling and get some more information before you have someone else make up their mind for you.

The crux of the story is that banks were discriminating against people based on things that are against the constitution. In the case where the banks feel that this is wrong, they can always have their lawyers deal with it.

There's no need for you to get your panties in a bunch about this. Perhaps you can spend more time posting about how you feel that the world is flat.

No one should be forced to loan anything to anyone, if they don't want to loan the money, don't.

If you think you are being discriminated against, take your business elsewhere.

If the banks are being forced to make these loans, then they should step back and fight it. Take out pages in the newspaper and make it known to the public who and what is forcing them.

The crux of the overall topic is that the well meaning but poorly conceived Community Reinvestment Act, and its many tweakings, lowered lending standards based on some abstract notion of racism. Yes, redlining happened, and its unfortunate. However, the Libs took it to an extreme and bullied banks into lowering their standards based on unproven BLANKET accusations of racism. The result is the meltdown of our real estate market and the historic loss of wealth in America.

Its a class and education thing. Just because minorities were hard hit, doesn't mean it was because they are minority. The banks cashed anyone's check. The color is green and greed.

Ultimately, the MSM selectively reported on this major chapter in American history. Dont worry, it's all played out in the internet era. The truth of the historic loss of wealth and the mess we are in will be reported truthfully by the modern eras true alternative media: the conservative blogs.

Mess with someones wealth, you will see a sea change of a political shift in America. Watch out libs...moderates are coming swinging to a position critical of the automatic victim/race card play. You ****ed with their home values. Liberals overplayed their hand. It hit America close to home. As the public becomes educated on this in drips and then buckets, the American Left will NEVER be the same.
