the more alarming thing for the gop is he brought in 2 times more then the announced republican candidates combined, 2 times more then (paul, cain, bachmann, romney, santorum, all combined).

Of course he did. He has been bought and paid for by the richest of the rich. Those same rich people will also throw money into the Republican coffers (probably not as much) just to make the election cycle look good (like they always do) and valid. But this does nullify any claims, made by the democrats, that the repubs serve the rich. It is obvious that both parties do.
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina in a video sent to supporters this morning announced that the Obama 2012 campaign and the Democratic National Committee raised a whopping$86 million, far surpassing their stated goal of $60 million.
President Obama gets a lot of hate around here. He must be doing something right to get as much in donations.
The ones on here that Im sure will be by soon to say how much they hate him will never see that just as many wish nothing but the best for our President and our country.
He will need to raise a lot to fight the smears and lies that the outside GOP groups will be spending. This is good news and Romney raised way less than people thought he would get. He's also slipping in the polls and as of right now is the only Republican competitive against Obama in the general.
obama broke the record for incumbent fundraising in a quarter with that 86 million.
he also doubled the total amount that all the republicans raised combined, actually more than doubled, which is bad news for the GOP.
