I am not a pro-pot legalization proponent but I find the hypocrisy astounding that on one hand the DEA is granting licenses to Big Pharma to produce medical marijuana and on the other the FDA claiming it has no medicinal use. It's all about the $$.

DEA allows big pharma to grow pot

Absolutely true. I do not smoke pot. My wife is very ill with a chronic condition. The meds she takes are extremely expensive that add up to thousands per month in costs. They also have crazy side effects, often advertised on TV, which is beyond me why this is happening. After 3 months she has entered the donut hole in medicare. That is a different story and to those who know what I'm talking about will understand our out of pocket costs. Pot is something she may asked the doctor to prescribe her for continuous pain.

So sorry that you're wife is sick, seriously sorry. I'm also surprised that being on the "right" from all you're posts you would be even be on medicare at all, considering its such a bad left wing boondoggle. But thats the good thing about government programs, everyone qualifies. Plus, hopefully we on the left with the new Affordable Health Care Plan, can close the problems with that damn donut hole in time to help you next year! Too bad, the right is also keeping pot illegal.....but yes, have someone get your wife some pot, its super easy to do....it will work way better than those dangerous drugs she is probably taking that is doing nothing more than lining the pockets of Big Pharma and gang. Good luck to you and her.

It doesn't have to have any medical purpose to be legal. Not to mention there is way too much ancetodal evidence to dispute it.

I am sorry to hear of your wifes illness and your problems with insurance.
I don't smoke pot either but I know when my cousins grandfather was ill, smoking marijuana eased his pain, increased his appetite and decreased nausea allowing him to eat and hold food down.

I hope for the best for you and your family.
