Remember when those tornadoes ripped through the south this past spring? I remember, because I live in Georgia. Well all those red state governors wern't crying about big government giving them federal aid and asking the president to declare those states disaster zones.
How about education. States do NOT have to participate in NCLB, they only do so to get federal dollars. Well no one is forcing these red states to participate. If you believe in states rights so much, don't participate.
Leave it to Rachel and leave it to her viewers (which aren't too many) to jump from blasting the Tea Party for one thing to blasting for another. The Tea Party isn't a bunch of religious right wing nuts, nor is the right wing of the party a bunch of nuts anymore than all liberal Democrats are socialist. There are a handful on both sides that probably need a head examination. Your asking if Perry is out of his mind is equal to someone on here, beacuse you are a left winger suggesting you are out of yours.

Well I disagree. Just my opinion and yours is just an opinion as well. Religious nut is relative.
I'm a guy who over the years has voted GOP a lot more than I've voted Dem. But the loony religious right takeover of the Republican Party has turned me strongly and probably permanently against them.
In the past, I supported the formerly reasonable GOP when it stood for limited government, nonintervention internationally, and separation of church and statre. Since embracing the irrational religious kooks, they've abandoned all of those positions.
I doubt that I'm part of a tiny slice of former Republicnas who now see them as a dangerous caricature of a political organization. Their agenda is now harmful to my country and I will oppose them in every election.
