Funny, because what is in place here in the US and in most states is not extremely limited but it is extremely dysfunctional.

The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

Why aren't the far left patriots of MN donating their time for free and donating their money to the state to keep everything open?
Oh dear. You're one of those people who likes to throw around the word "patriot" like you own it. Clearly, you're one of those hypocrites who hates welfare yet expects everything for themselves to be handed over for FREE. Life ain't free honey.

And by the way...what happened to government FOR the people BY the people. The teaparty was started by and continues to be funded by CORPORATIONS. If you are a member of the tea party and not the CEO of a corporation, you are a SUCKER. And if you believe otherwise, I have some swamp land to sell you in Texas.
Those who don't agree with me can do whatever they want, those who don't agree with the US Constitution should either live with the power it grants to government or find someone else to live. I'm not going to move to Somalia or Haiti, they're both 3rd world nations that have been run into the ground by the same type of idiot people who are trying to run the United States into the ground. Neither of them have limited governments, what an ignorant statement to make.

Just because a government is for the people and by the people doesn't mean it has to control the people, only a scared fool wants a government to tell them what to do every day. The Tea Party was started by Ron Paul supporters long before left wing nut jobs began to create and believe the lie that it started due to Obama being elected. I'm a member of the Tea Party and I'm the CEO of my home and life, that's all I really need to control as far as I'm concerned.

I already own land in and live in Texas and we'd love any bit of rain we can get at this point.

No, not at all. Compare Texas and Virginia to California.

Low taxes, limited regulation and no meddling in personal liberties isn't dysfunctional. Yeah there are nutcases who'd privatize everything but there are also people who won't stop till everything is run like the USSR.

Technically, we do have a limited government compared to the rest of the world. Sorry to burst your "patriot" bubble.

This thread has nothing to do with Haiti or Somalia either but that didn't stop someone from making that ignorant comparison.

Limited regulation isn't dysfunctional????? Explain the HOUSING CRISIS we are in now. Oh yeah....perfectly normal. Gimme a break.

If you think the USA is anywhere NEAR the USSR, I have some swamp land for you in Texas or Virginia (your choice!!)

Technically you clearly don't a clue about what you're saying. The US Federal gov. was never intended to be as large and inefficient as it is today.

The housing crisis could have been avoided, yes. But then what did we do? We told the banks that it's okay to take unnecessarily big risks. Don't worry, we'll bail ya out! A dog doesn't learn to stop ****ting on the carpet if you give it a treat whenever it does.

And I do believe VA has quite a bit of swamp land. And I don't think the US is near the USSR, my point was that you seem to be grouping people who want less taxes and less overall interference with people who want everything privatized. That's just as inane as me saying you're a communist who wants everything nationalized.

Uh huh. The US Government was also created at a time when people could "own" other people and it was ONLY intended to give rights to WHITE, RICH MEN. Is that what is intended? I'm sure the tea party would LOVE that scenario back in the picture.

Who's clueless? Not me...
