Had the hapless Pubs been in office, it would by 3X that amount - three years running. Pubs LOVE record deficits when a REPUBLICAN is President. Pathetic.
FAIL.. Deficits under the GOP Congress with Bush were falling, and almost would have had surpluses had it not been for war spending, and under the last Democratic President with a GOP Congress, it returned "surpluses"..
Continue on with your partisan lies though if it helps you sleep better at night.

Yes, I understand you must have been very, very upset when Bush ran a deficit of $450 Billion.......so logic would follow you would be OUTRAGED at obama's $1.5 TRILLION deficit...right.....right?
I'm sure you know, but you're just doing your usual schtick. Obama is trying to cut a deal that is 3 trillion in cuts and 1 trillion in new revenue.
Why do you keep posting that drivel?
That's $3 TRILLION in cuts over 10 years, which amounts to nothing more than $300 Billion per year.
That's $1 TRILLION in revenue over 10 years, which is $100 Billion per year.
That adds up to a net of $400 Billion per year.
And continuing to run a budget deficit of $1+ TRILLION per year does what exactly?
Lower the National Debt?
No, the National Debt continues to increase at $1+ TRILLION per year.
If only your GDP could do the same, but it can't.
A real president, a real leader, would simply tell the truth and admit defeat, because no matter what you do, all roads lead to major recession, and the longer you wait, the worse it will be.

The numbers are cursed.

This guy just can't get enough of our money...and of course, he wants MORE, doesn't he. How else will he pay for his programs and pet projects.
He has NO credibility on the issue.
Politico is mistaken. The deficit has exceeded one trillion dollars for four consecutive fiscal years - 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Nor is it coincidental that during those four fiscal years the Democrats controlled Congress.
Basic Civics 101 - The President proposes, and Congress disposes.

Yes everything is fit into their nice little ten year plans now where most of these crooks will conveniently be out of office by the time the sheet hits the fan. Basically buying the vote of the useful idiots to be paid for by their children.
