The only groups in this country who can afford to pay more taxes are

1. the rich
2. corporations like oil companies

Someone has to pay

Obama openly acknowledges that he is one of the "rich" who will be paying more in taxes per his plan, so I highly doubt that he has an agenda against those who are more fortunate in this country.

I think rescinding ludicrous previous corporate tax cuts is the ONLY right thing to do. The greed of corporate America is now DESTROYING America. They made all of the money they could off the backs of American citizens for countless years and now when America needs THEM most--- they ship most of their jobs overseas???? Time to pay the piper.

UE benefits are running out and we are broke. Yet you people want to give more money to a guy with a record like that. Why??
People who naively blame Obama for what was set in motion LONG before he got into office blow my mind! How can you be SO in denial of the facts?

If an out of control steamroller wrecklessly rear-ends a pick-up truck and sends it careening into the car in front of it, thereby setting off a chain reaction--- do we blame the truck... or the steamroller???? Think with your brains people and not your blind devotion to political affiliations....

No, nobody has to pay more. Congress to spend less, parasite citizens and non-citizens need to demand less.

What is this guy hiding? What is his obsession with taxing the rich? The rich and corporations already pay the most income taxes by far than any other group and there isn't nearly enough money to make a dent in the defecit.
Why are the republicans so hell bent on spending more money while cutting revenue streams?

We blame him and his vile party for putting a brick on the gas petal of the steamroller and then refusing to eat his peas.

YOU'RE RIGHT!!!

We've been approaching this point in our economy for more than the last 30 years that I know of. Look at the raises (and bonuses) in executive offices over the last 30 years. Then, look at the increases in Auto insurance Premiums, Utilities, Taxes, Food Prices, and Energy Statments over the last 30 years. Then, look at the increases in worker's wages over the last 30 years. Have worker's wages kept up? NO !!!

You want to blame Obama? Think about it. 30 years ago, I was paying $204 each year for insurance on two cars. Today, it's $140 a month just for one. That's 16 1/2 times more over 30 years. Have any of your wages kept up with that? NO !!!

30 years ago, I was making $27,000 a year. Are any factory workers making more than $400,000 a year today? NO !!!

I do not believe Obama is the right guy for the job, but you can hardly blame him for what started when he was writing his college entrance exams.

I remember paying 0.17 / gallon for gas. At the same time, I was also making 12,000 a year. Want to do the math yourself?
3.89/.17=22.88 That says that gas prices are up nearly 23 times over since then.
12,000X22.88=274588.24 So, by that standard, somebody on a barn-raising crew should be making $274,588.00 a year Wanna try about $40,000

Obama is not the one that has done that to us.

But its your fault that you haven't kept up your income to meet the demands of higher prices. It certainly isn't the fault of corporations. They have met their obligations to pay no taxes (GE), make a $14 billion profit (GE) and pay their CEO about $10 million in stock options.

Its also Obama's fault that during the time GE didn't pay any taxes, and made a huge profit, they didn't create one SINGLE job, they cut 5.5% of the workforce. Because well Obama is a socialist, who supported gay marriage. If he was more like our founding father John Quincy Adams, he wouldn't have the devil in him keeping him bondage, because you know he wasn't born in the United States.

Because he, along with the vast majority of Americans and people with the ability to think for themselves, realize wealthy people can afford to/should contribute more to the society that has made them so wonderfully fat and comfortable rather than making the 80yr old living off of $400/mo?

Considering the vast majority of the wealthy pigs already have had so many more advantages, silver spoons, ways to cheat the system, etc. than the rest of us...It's insane any non-rich person is stupid enough to fall for the crap fed to them by the Republicans that asking these wealthy pigs to pay an extra 10k a year is the end of the world.
