And my point was this. You are a working parent and have children, you work as a manager at a fast food restaurant. If an employee calls off and you can't get a replacement then you work it, if there's company mandated training, you attend it and try to take care of your children and if you want to keep your job you can't continually tell your boss that you don't have child care or classes.
Now you may earn a fairly decent salary and want a better environment for your children but due to work responsibilities and child care, you can't go back to school.

More and more people are living under these sorts of circumstances and they want a chance for something better, I'm not going to automatically label them scammers, criminals, and thieves just because they are black, minority or poor.

Not an easy situation. When someone makes poor choices, why should it be the government's problem?

Mostly because when something becomes societies problem the government is asked to do something. It's not an easy situation.

Should it become government's problem when a worker gets injured and can't work, (SSDI) should it be government's job when your employer steals your retirement contributions,(ERISA) should it be government's business to make sure your male employer can't ask you to suck his penis if you want to keep your job??(sexual harassment)

Life happens, it's not black and white. I know there are people that abuse the system but I know far more that are honorable people trying to simply better the lives of their children and themselves.

Should every negative event in one's life warrant a government entitlement?

Answer that question for yourself, I gave some exacmples of government assisatnce, and they are far from all encompassing.

But feel free to show me where government entitlements cover "every negative event" in one's life??..

So what's your point???..
And the bank pays them to leave their home. Someone I know lost her house to foreclosure and the bank paid her $3500 to move out. All she had to do was make sure it was broom clean.
