Nah! Morality is defined by the society in which one lives. The rules are ones by which people agree to live--it is a society.
Oh, and guess what.... notions of morality are ever changing, so get with the program, or go the way of the dinosaurs.

Of course there's a gay agenda. But I'm not letting it have any effect over me and my family. I just vote in opposition every year and handle that right away. Unlike the gays, I don't have to whine and talk about things to get attention. I do it from the voting booth.

One supposedly defines what they want in a society and finds one that matches their beliefs. In the US we are being forced-fed alien beliefs and made to love each other or else. The real bigots and racists are those currently incharge.
Society changes. Women used to be property and blacks used to be slaves. Society supported that. Doesn't mean it was right. A lot of people hate gays due to pure ignorance. Doesn't make it right.

I'd like to get away from subjective terms that label and just establish what the issues are.
I am curious about establishing whether there is a gay political agenda which it appears the people on this forum agree there is by over a 3 to 1 margin. I would like to reiterate what another poster said about an agenda not being negative by nature and I'm not attempting to allude that having an agenda is a sinister activity.
If we can establish there is an agenda I would like to identify the goals of the agenda and discuss their merits. Respectfully addressing the concerns of those who feel threatened on both sides of the issue

Looks like most have been or are near accomplished, although State Goal #7 Repealing all laws governing the age of sexual consent I don't think has yet been accomplished.
Heterosexual religious anti-gay people are simply afraid that the country will somehow go downhill if gays have equal rights. I can speak with confidence that, even though up here in Connecticut and surrounding states we have had gay marriage for years, NOTHING downhill has occurred with regard to sexual morality and the family structure. I laugh at all of their arguments.

And personally, I think 3% is a lowball figure, but whether it is 30%, 3% or .3%, there is no reason to consider them abnormal.
Don't give them any ideas. The next thing you know the Mormons and other fundies will be spending millions to pass constitutional amendments banning marriage for people with red hair or that write left handed.
