Just bought a set of horseshoes for a party over the weekend, Made in the USA. Strangley the Made in China version cost more!

St. Pierre Royal Horse Shoes With Case - Dick's Sporting Goods

Having said that every major manufacturer of coal burning appliances is not only Made in the USA but with the exception of Hitzer from Indiana Made in Pennsylvania.

Here's the short list:

Leisure Line Coal Stoves - Automatic Coal Stoker Stove Home Heating Systems
efm Heating - Coal Heat - AF Coal Heater / Coal Furnace (http://www.efmheating.com/stokerfiredfurnace.html - broken link)
Keystoker
AHS Coal Stoker Boilers
Axeman-Anderson - Anthratube Coal Boiler
Alaska Stove - Home (http://www.alaskastove.com/cms/ - broken link)
Harman Stove Company

Sub-Zero, Viking and Wolf appliances, Kenmore appliances (some), Whirlpool appliances, Kitchen Aid stand mixers and blenders, Lasko fans, Oreck vacuums, Shop Vac, Rug Doctor, some Carhart apparel, True Religion jeans, Justice clothing (little girls' store), some Eddie Bauer clothing, some J.Crew clothing, all clothing at A Pea in the Pod, American Apparel, Handi-Craft (Dr. Brown's baby bottles), Step 2 (ride-on toys, climbers, wagons, children's furniture), some Little Tykes items, All-Clad cookware, Lodge cast iron items, Pyrex, Nordicware, Regalware, Corelle, Anchor Hocking, Lenox china/dishes, Tervis tumblers - yay!, Libbey glass, Overland Equipment (bags), Nalgene, Trek bicycles, Louisville Slugger, PING golf, Channellock tools, Snap-On tools (most), Briggs and Stratton engines, etc, etc, etc, etc.

If you live fairly simply and aren't into buying lots of crap, it's relatively easy to find products made in the USA. Ironically (for the ultra-right), thousands of manufacturers of made in the USA products are eco-companies.

At one time USA made well built TVs and stereos that were built to last. Is any electronics made in the USA anymore?

Stuff isn't built to last anymore because people aren't willing to pay for high quality products. They want to have more money leftover so they can buy more useless crap. It has nothing to do with products being manufactured overseas.

This site lists some televisions made in the US: U.S. Stuff Product - Televisions Made in USA

Btw, as far as stereos go, all Bose products are made in the USA, and they are also an American-owned company.
