How quaint.

Thousands of people seeking housing assistance gathered at a field house in Dallas Thursday morning and stampeded when the gates opened, rescue workers said. Officials said at least five people were injured, KXAS-TV, Dallas-Fort Worth, reported. One of the injured was a pregnant woman who fell down and was trampled.

Somebody said "free" and they all came running. This I guess is the hope and change promised. Maybe yelling "free" will be considered the same as yelling "fire" in a movie theatre?

Anyone watch the video and think to yourself that if those people worked half as hard finding a job as they did trying to get free housing they would be employed?

Let's see, 14 million Americans out of work, 42 million on food stamps, and gawd only knows how many underemployed and folks are shocked, shocked that folks would have a stampede to be first in line for housing SUBSIDIES! Absolutely shocking!

I agree. To me it seemed a sad sign of the times. It is revolting to see all the posters assuming that they are lazy and aren't trying to find jobs. A lot of posters on this board are disgusting.
