All 6 are considered and their abilities are about comparable but the company only needs one Supervisor and one of them gets the position.

Must the other 5 quit and find some other supervisory position if they want to get ahead?
The five should start looking...yes.

I completely agree that the rich should pay more. Hell, everyone needs to pay more now to reduce the defiict. The fact is our nation's economy was at is strongest when the rich paid a much, much higher percentage of their income to taxes.

Yea, because when government takes 60,70, 80, or even 90% of what a person makes that is always symbolic of a free country right?

Confiscatory tax rates are unconstitutional and go against the very foundations that this nation was founded upon.

Regardless of tax rates, tax revenue has remained fairly consistent as a percentage of GDP.

Go ahead and raise tax rates, but you're likely to kill the economy as the producers scale back to avoid draconian taxation. We'll still only get tax revenue somewhere between 15-20% of GDP.

This will provide a great incentive for all Americans to reach that earning level.

Many will abuse the system on each end, find a system that works.Theres no difference between a guy who works off the books than collects every hand out he can get and a guy who makes buku millions and stashes it offshore or pays for favorable tax legislation, their gaming the system. We need to achieve some sort of equilibrium thats based on Reality, not ideology. When I hear right-wing types speak as in "survival of the fittest", thats not reality. It shouldn't be about punishing anyone, but achieving equilibrium of some sort.

How does a low tax rate tie into freedom? I thought the Constitution guaranteed are freedom, not our tax system.
