It makes sense to me to not fund PP (and many others as well) because it is not government's business to prop up charitable organizations. For those who believe in PP, feel free to show your support with your own money, not mine.

If a charity has use, is honest, and has enough people support it, it has no need for taxpayer dollars. There are many charities out there right now that manage to exist without usurping taxpayer dollars. The only reason PP has govenment endorsement and support is because Dems wanted to use it as a reason to garner votes from bleeding heart liberals.

You're a bit of a broken record here, y'know? Are you aware that many charities get government funds? A large portion of the federal money that PP gets is from Medicaid. That is something that other health care providers get as well.

All PP has to do is send some "gimme more money" letters to the rich who donate.
Anyone who is concerned should send their check to PP in those states.
Let PP become 100% donator funded. Nothing wrong with that.
Go on..send in your check.

It's amazing to see what the government CAN afford. Pap smears, no. Missles, yes. And to repeat, much of PP's federal funds come from Medicaid. There is going to be no net gain to the feds to disallow Medicaid recipients to use PP. They'll just go somewhere else, probably a private provider that charges more than PP does as a private NP.
You seem very happy at the prosepect of programs getting defunded. Then they will be coming after YOU to contribute, too.

No federal funds are being used for abortion. You can relax. Maybe it's just wrong to use government to invade a country we had no reason to, like Iraq.

What should she do? Get another job. Cut back on the cell phone, big screen TV's and cigarettes. Go to a clinic that relies on charity. Not have the child that she will leave motherless since she can't afford them. Do what every other person does that doesn't look to the govt FIRST to solve their problems.

I really wish people would quit thinking that every, or even many, poor people in this country have fancy cell phone plans, big screen TVs and smoke cigarettes. Maybe you could provide some statistics to prove same. TIA.
