Very good point. A lot of them would argue that marriage is for procreation, but would they ban sterile heterosexuals from marrying each other? Of course not.

But that goes back to people not being bothered by one man and one woman marrying. That is normal for marriage. 2 men or 2 women or one man and 4 women or any other combination seems weird and the societies who allowed it did not survive. Just human nature or evolution following it's destiny.

What societies in the past have survived when they allowed gay marriage? Don't give me recent ones who are allowing it now, we are going to see if they will survive and where they will be in the future.

I'm sorry, but I just don't think your arguments in this thread have any merit.

Can't think of any?

Some societies have let gays help around the house with children and chores, etc. but that puts them in the role of servant, etc. Not very high up in the family.

You made the contention that gay-tolerating societies of the past didn't survive, now give me some examples.

Tolerating as far as gay marriage is concerned. Putting gay marriage on the same level as hetero marriage. Gays were tolerated but not elevated to the same status as marriage.
