ban guns once and for all, like what they do in Canada and Europe, which are the richest, the safest, and the best places to live.

Uh...what's wrong with that? You DO believe that states and cities should be able to determine what they want for themselves, without interference from Washington...don't you?

The NRA has been sending out fake flyers like this for years about lots of democrats.

Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see comes to mind.

Private ownership of firearms is a critical issue for Americans. Firearm ownership is the canary in the mine. If it dies our freedom dies. That association is exclusively American. Firearms are a symbol of our freedom as weel as a tool we have used to protect the 'other countries' with more restricted firearm policies.

Obama knows opposition to firearm ownership is a losing proposition. Funny to see most of the political candidates tote a firearm in their commercials.

'The times they are a changing'. When the whitehouse hires a communist as green jobs czar, hangs a ornament of the mass murderer Mao, from its Xmas tree and when former terrorist bombers become the presidents advisors its a hint something has dramatically changed.

With the very bizarre Cass Sunstein in place the tone is set for a way to bypass congress with regulatory declarations which serve as laws.

When Cass advocates legal representation for your golden retriever something has changed.

When a law proposing fat kids can be taken from their parents 'for their protection', when a variety of foods are officially discouraged 'for our protection' we are taking a ride on the legally conceived monster called the great 'slippery slope'.

Obamaworld is saying, 'sure we have no problem with firearm ownership' while regulations and levies seemingly unrelated to firearm ownership make it more difficult to legally obtain and keep firearms inthe home.

The tax on ammo components, questions requiring Docs to ask if firearms are in the home, delays in processing firearm ids required to purchase and transport firearms and required of every gun owner. Changes in traditional firearm carry and use policy governing federally owned lands when the feds are 'claiming' more and more state land that by legal right transfers control to the feds. Under the guise of protecting various animal species hunting and fishing become 'restricted'. Imagine, if sugar is harmful and the feds do their best to 'protect us from ourselves by essentially eliminating free choice of that sweet substance, you think they think its a good idea to own a firearm?....... of course in your best interest.

To better illustrate, think of the time you asked your dad if you could go off on a Friday night with some unsavory friends that will pick you up in an hour. Your dad says, 'sure you can go son!" After you clean the garage, wash the car, help your sister with her homework and paint the living room.

Obamaworld is telling us 'sure you can keep your firearms' just like dad was telling us we could go to the party.

Emotions run high when the politics and firearms are discussed, even the liberal career politicians know that. Obamworld operates onthe premise the American people are incapable of safely handling 'free will' and require protective custody by a growing giant federal government.

Default Obama steers clear of the third rail

Another official lesson to gun owners in Nj illustrates how being perfectly legal can land you in jail by overzealous prosecutors and judges.

First case a guy legally transporting personal firearms by car is arrested and actully thrown in prison. After a year or so his case is overturned as it was ruled he broke no laws. The new NJ gov gov dumped that activist judge to the cries of racism.

2nd case a guy flying from out west on his way to Allentown, probably for the gun show, gets diverted to Newark due to airline problems. Airline provides a bus to Allentown but he discovers his declared firearms are not on the bus with him. He gets off talks to the airline about it. He stays at a local hotel for a flight the next morning. Tries to board the plane, declares his firearms and is arrested. Seems that by being stranded by the airline someone determined this guy was breaking the law. Jailed for 4 days or so and then released.

As other firearm owners and potential firearm owners read this and other stories where the good guy ends up being treated as the criminal, the message is clear. Own a firearm even legally and you can end up in jail with gang bangers from Newark and Camdem. By the time you are found innocent, at a catastrophic physical and economic cost to you and your family, your life is destroyed.

Sure you can buy a gun, go ahead and try it. The overzealous prosecutors, judges and the USAG in the form of Eric 'the lap dog' Holder are just waiting and if they don't get you Cass Sunstein will.

Newsflash: There was nothing fake about the warning. However, the OP is just a bit behind in getting the news and apparently failed to do his/her research to verify.

Obama did indeed attempt to further infringe upon the 2nd Amedment through ordering additional reporting/profiling of perchasers of certain firearms in certain states on our Southern border. The US House defunded BAFTE from carrying out that additional bureaucractic impedement.

Meanwhile, Hillary further commited to the US Small Arms treaty and we remain vigilant that the Senate does not ratify that treaty.

You're wrong. Switzerland doesn't ban guns, for example. A lot of European countries also don't have the problems we have on the scale we have, and I'm fairly certain that guns have been banned/heavily restricted for ages there. Whereas here it's a part of our culture and national identity. It'd be like banning shark fin soup in China.

Some people feel that it's just not a good thing for people to have guns. Too many cowboy movies, too many wanna-be heroes, in the wrong place and the wrong time.. maybe had a beer too many...

NOT a good idea. Culture/national identity or not. (and who wants the identity of carrying a gun around, anyway?!?)

Peace,
brian
