You are assuming that the GOP will still be an almost all-white party 30 years from now. That doesn't make political sense. Take Miami for example. That place is majority Hispanic and most of the people running for office are not people like Meyer, Smith, or Miller it's people like Martínez, heck Rubio, etc.
I think the GOP would not be an all white party if it still existed in 30 years and I think in order to continue existing, it would have to change its approach toward courting minorities drastically as what they have now isn't working by and large. President Bush came close to doing that, but was ultimately torpedoed by his own party. My contention is that the article is flawed in that it ignores the importance minorities will play in the future in an effort to cherry pick voter demographics to paint a portrait of Republican invinsibility. Aside from that Cubans tend to be the exception that proves the rule. I also disagree with you regarding how much a role illegal immigration could play in changing demographics. Illegal immigration peaked in the mid 2000s and has been declining steadily since 2008 due to the economy. There are fewer illegal immigrants in America today then there were 4 years ago.

So if some Republican were to become the next president, will that make them Boris Yeltsin?

Then we really would go into default.

I'm Asian and I live in Hawaii, and your assertion is completely false. You have no idea how the average Asian-American lives in Hawaii. We are NOT rich!!!!!! Many of us in Hawaii, Asian or not, work hard and earn crappy wages.

I will say it again. Very few Republicans can win anything close a break even margin with any minority group and as a result Republicans will have an increasingly difficult time winning elections unless they can change something to attract non-white voters. As to the term majority-minority perhaps a google search would explain it.
Ask your favorite Cuban/American how much they like socialism/Castroism? Not all immigrants, legal or illegal, are sucked in by fallacious policies and promises of the American (read D-cat) left.

Hawaii as a state is wealthier then most of the rest of the US. I am by no means saying that all Asians in Hawaii are rich, or that they do not work hard. All I am saying is that 1. There are areas of the United States that have well established, prosperous Asian communities. 2. Hawaii has a higher % of Asians then the rest of the United States and that Hawaiians on average have a higher median income then the US average. Do you object to either of those statements?

I never said all immigrants or all minorities were anything, however the fact remains that minorities overwhelmingly vote Democratic, are an important part of the Democratic party and will need to be attracted by Republicans if that party is to remain viable in the long term. Do you deny this is the case?

Many Hawaiians sadly live in poverty. The wealthy in Hawaii are mostly outsiders, they include wealthy folks from Asia, the Mainland and other parts of the world. When you talk about median income and compare it to the Mainland, you must include the cost of living. It's VERY expensive in Hawaii.

While I understand cost of living issues and that poverty is a problem in Hawaii as it is in most of the United States that is somewhat irrelevant to my original point in citing Hawaii as an example that members non-white minority groups do not automatically become Conservative Republicans when the become middle class as there are no doubt a fair amount of middle class, Asian Democrats in Hawaii.
