Here's hoping it wasn't just the moonbats at my uni who got tickets to attend. Wish I could've gotten tickets but alas I didn't want to camp out overnight. Not worth it for what would amount to hearing more campaign rhetoric and empty promises.
I just listened to a few minutes of that "town hall" and caught Obama talking about how Republicans from very right leaning districts feared having to run for office if challenged by someone of like thinking in a primary if they go along with compromise. All I get from this is that it is the Republicans who have to compromise to have a compromised law. I wonder if he doesn't hear himself saying you guys have to be the ones who give some ground.
Oh yeah, he did have his teleprompter along. I guess that was so he could give his prepared part of the program before he got any questions.
Hmm - no teleprompter? Or its it just not in view?
The teleprompter was definitely there. As he walked around I kept seeing this black woman who looked like she may have a veil of some kind on behind him and sure enough that turned out to be the machine he needs so much. I even caught him studying it while talking.
These are mostly college kids remember. They have yet to enter the "real world".
Nah that was a teacher from DC, not a student. And not all college students are delusional about how things work in the 'real world'; I'd like to think I'm in that camp.
Maryland, along with South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and New Mexico have been threatened with lowering of their State bond ratings if there is no increase in the debt ceiling. Time for Obama to face the music and raise the debt ceiling by executive order and forget his """Deal""
But he said just this morning that his people have determined that he can't change the debt ceiling without Congress and they have been studying that part of the 14th Amendment very closely.
Ahh here it comes.. we must extend unemployment for another year..
