I might, yes, if we had a better safety net for all the truly indigent people out there.

However, keep in mind that the top 400 taxpayers only pay 18.11% effective rates, according to the IRS. The bracket you posted just tells you the rate on wages.

I am already paying more then my fair share so why would I support paying more. IMHO nobody below the 90th percentile should pay ANY Federal Income Tax. The top 10% own the country so let them pay to operate it.

That's 51/52% that doesn't pay taxes. Having said that I'm with the first poster, cut the government's take. They're just wasting the money anyway.

A lot of them whine about how half of the population doesn't pay any income taxes and thus don't pay their fair share.

Can you show me an example of a functioning government with a 10% flat tax rate?

The poll is stupid

Let me take a wile guess here, by "taxes" the author means only "income taxes" as if those are the only ones that matter

That's about $1500 for people on minimum wage. Do you have any idea how much that is for people living paycheck to paycheck?

Do you have a chart that addresses ALL taxes? Payroll and excise and SS and sales etc?

One that shows what PERCENTAGE of income is being paid. The actual amount paid doesn't mean ****. If I'm not paying the same dollar amount as Bill Gates (sales tax on a yacht would be pretty high and I'm guessing he has a hefty property tax bill, I missed that one above) that doesn't mean I'm not paying my fair share
