If we did a chart showing the dollar amounts the rich pay in sales tax, or property tax, or excise tax, it would show that the rich pay quite a bit more. Does that mean the poor aren't paying their fair share? I Think not!
And wouldn't charts on payroll and SS taxes show the lower income levels paying more?
I'm for reducing the size of government, not increasing the size of it's take.
Pretty much says it all. However, I do believe that everyone needs to pay taxes into the system Therefore, they may be less likely to vote themselves more money as it will be coming from their pocket too.
Do we have 47% unempoyment? And do none of these 47% have cars or own property and they never buy anything? If not then your number is incorrect

The topic is taxes. If you're only counting federal taxes then the topic is bull****. If you want to yammer and yap about who pays taxes and who doesn't then include ALL taxes
That's about $1500 for people on minimum wage. Do you have any idea how much that is for people living paycheck to paycheck?
