Plus has absolutely no experience in any area required to hold the office of President of the United States. I would equate this very serious mistake to putting a first grader in charge of a nuclear-power plant!

Hope all these staunch Repubs on the forum are all millionaires because from the way the GOP are talking when they eventually get back in power it sounds like they are going to slash and burn all manner of government spending including much in the way of social programs and social safety nets.
Whats that old saying?Be careful what you wish for as you might get it..
You made the claim. Back it up. We will be waiting.
Yeah, those crazy, lazy 90 year olds need to suck it up and get back out there into the workforce to support themselves.
How foolish...SS is NOT a safety net/social program. Had it been handled correctly, earned the interest it should have and not been raided by Congress for other foolish spending, it would have been very sound today.
Now, it needs to be reorganized so it provides the retirement "supplement" (and it was never intended to be "sole" retirement income...only supplement same) for which it was originally intended!
You can't negotiate with ideologues. Congress has the responsibility to create legislation...that will pass. They have not done that. If they don't, then the financial depression that will result is on their head.
The usual practice, for the past 200 and some years, is for the House to pass a bill and send it to the Senate. The Senate takes that bill and discusses it. Amends it as they see fit and passes it's version. Then the 2 houses get together to try and hammer out one bill. It is then sent to the President to either sign it or veto it.
the House HAS done it's duty. Where is the Senate?
You mean 'small business'... They're not hiring right now.
Hardly Obama's fault. It's a deep recession, rooted in a financial industry that has been unregulated for decades, and a housing market crash that is unprecedented. Again, I fail to see how this is laid at Obama's feet insofar as his policies are concerned. Wanna blame health care reform? You can't, all it does is close the gap on the deficit and it keeps corporations heavily into the game. Wanna blame the stimulus? Then you better blame Republicans, too. A stimulus is a tried-and-true response to a deep recession. Govt. has to create an environment where the economy can grow when a recession happens. Obama didn't raise taxes, and he goosed the economy with a stimulus.
Simply put, the recession is just too deep to recover overnight.
